2. Seal the Fixed Frame, Not the Flap

4. Automatic and Microchip Doors Need a Separate Rule

An electronic dog door can look like it has a draft problem when the real issue is that its flap never completes the lock cycle. Check batteries or power, sensor alignment, hinge pins, the frame, and the manufacturer’s error indicators before adding any material.
